Forehead & Hairline Acne

Forehead and hairline acne can be caused by using hair care products with ingredients that will clog your pores.

One major offender is using coconut oil in its raw form. Coconut Oil is naturally comedogenic (4 on a scale of 1 to 5), & the oil can “run” when exposed to heat from the body and from the environment, pooling across the hairline and forehead and often leading to acneic breakouts.

Not only can this cause acne along the forehead and hairline, but it can build up on the scalp...forming an impermeable mass. This mass retains scalp moisture and can lead to such complications as dandruff or horrifying scalp infections. Less horrifying, is that heavy oils tend to collapse a style, making it impossible to get volume or movement if it is weighed down.

My all time favorite is EPIRA Coconut Oil Treatment. EPIRA Coconut Oil Treatment is lightweight...no running, no oil slick, no breakouts.. no "ick" factor! EPIRA Coconut Oil Treatment is a universal LIGHTWEIGHT hair oil that ANY hair type can use consequence-free.

AND, how much is enough?

When it comes to using coconut oil for hair, the amount used also matters. You’ve probably heard the saying “too much of a good thing,” and this absolutely applies when it comes to using coconut oil in hair. Just as with supplements, if a little bit is good, a lot isn’t necessarily better.

We recommend starting with 1 to 2 drops, working it through the lengths and ends. If you need more…add a drop or two more!
